Occasional Invaders: What Are They & What To Do? (earn 7 CCU credits)
In this course participants will learn biology & behavior for boxelder bugs, centipedes, crickets, earwigs, ladybugs, millipedes, pillbugs, silverfish, slugs, springtails, and stink bugs. You will learn treatment and exclusion options as well as information to educate homeowners about them.

Bed Bugs: Everything About Bed Bugs from A to Z (earn 7 CCU credits)
This course will cover everything from Bed Bug Biology & Behavior, Bed Bug Prevention Methods, How to Identify a Bed Bug Infestation, Bed Bug Treatments using Insecticides, non- chemical methods such as using heat (including how to put together and use a heat machine) as well as how to set up protocols to do bed bug work.

Dini Miller is a Professor at Virginia Tech and the Urban Pest Management Specialist for the state of Virginia. Dr. Miller is an internationally recognized expert in the area of urban pest management and one of the leading experts in Bed Bugs. Dr. Miller has won numerous awards for her work in urban entomology including the pest control industry’s Crown Leadership Award, the Entomological Society of America’s (Eastern Branch) Distinguished Achievement Award in Extension, the Gamma Sigma Delta Award of Merit
in Extension, the 2012 Virginia Tech University Alumni Award for Excellence in Extension and the Virginia Pest Management Industry Stewardship Award in 2014. In June 2017, Dr. Miller she was named the first “US HUD Healthy Housing HERO" for her work in public housing, and in 2018 she was presented with the Pi Chi Omega Publication of Professional Services award for her contribution to the first bed bug text book in 50 years "Advances in the Biology and Management of the Modern Bed Bug". In 2019, Dr. Miller was inducted into the Pest Management Professional Hall of Fame and in 2020 she received the Southern Region IPM Center award for being a “Friends of IPM-IPM Implementer”.
