A Welcome Message from NCPMA's New President

Guest Column by Bruce Roberts, 2018-2019 NCPMA President
It’s a new year for NCPMA’s Board of Directors!
Today, I had the privilege of standing with my fellow board members as we kicked off another year for this great organization. We have been working together for months planning and preparing for this moment, and we can’t wait to get started.
One of the best parts of NCPMA membership for me has always been the educational opportunities that the association provides and the conferences that members are able to attend. This year we have some exciting things planned to help enhance these educational opportunities at all of our major events. Here’s just a sample of what we have planned.
- United We Stand: United We Stand is NCPMA’s leadership conference, and we have planned a wonderful lineup of speakers from across the country and topics designed to provide a well-rounded program for owners of pest management companies. Join us Nov. 14-16 in Greensboro for this event, but space is limited! Early registration is available to NCPMA members only through Aug. 15, then it will be opened up nationwide.
- Pest Control Technician’s School: It’s no secret that the NCPMA Pest Control Technician’s School is one of the largest of its kind in the country. This year we plan to make it even bigger with nationally recognized speakers and new sessions designed to engage and inform our members like you’ve never experienced. And, we’re also bringing back our PCT School app so you can stay connected with up-to-the-minute news. We’ll be announcing our speaker lineup and more exciting news over the next few months, so stay tuned. Click here to register.
- Fall and Spring Workshops: In addition to our larger events, we’re also working to make sure our smaller, regional meetings meet all of our members’ needs as well. We’re already hard at work scheduling the Fall regional meetings and developing an informative and engaging topic for each session.
This is just some of the work that your new NCPMA board has been working on, and there’s so much more in store as we kick off this new year.
I encourage each of our members to follow NCPMA on Facebook and Twitter, check our member hub MyNCPMA and sign up to receive text alerts through our messaging system so you can stay informed throughout the year.
