A Message from NCPMA's New President, Thomas Cheek
Dear Fellow NCPMA Members,
Over the past 13 years with Terminix Triad, I have had the privilege of building not only a career in this industry, but also lasting relationships through this association. I never imagined how meaningful the people and connections within NCPMA would become in both my professional and personal life. It is truly an honor and privilege to serve as your president.
Our mission is simple and comes straight from our bylaws: promote professionalism and ethics, advance knowledge through education, promote the value of the pest management industry, and strengthen the relationships across our profession. These principles have guided this association for decades and they apply to everyone we represent - Pest Management Professionals, small business owners, large business owners, vendors, and our industry partners.
One thing I'm really excited to share with our members is the team we have on our board of directors. We recently came together for a planning retreat where each committee chair developed their plan for the upcoming year with these four things in mind:
- Operational Excellence - Bringing transparency, accountability, and efficiency to everything we do on behalf of our members.
- Engagement - Showing up for our members by being actively engaged in the business of the association.
- Filling the Shoes - Honoring the legacy of those who came before us by upholding the high standards they established.
- Building the Bench - Identifying, mentoring, and developing the next generation of leaders to ensure NCPMA remains strong for years to come.
This is an exciting time for our industry and for our association. As we begin this year together, I want to thank every board member, past president, committee volunteer, and many others whose dedication keeps NCPMA thriving. Whether you are a new member, long-time member, or considering joining, this association exists to serve you and support your success.
I encourage you to get involved. If you have an idea to share, would like to volunteer, or simply have a question, we'd love to hear from you. Please reach out at info@ncpestmanagement.org.
Thank you for your support and the opportunity to serve as your president. I look forward to working alongside each of you in the year ahead.
Thomas Cheek
President
