Melodies that Matter Raises Nearly $7,000 for Safe House Project

At the 2025 Carolinas/Mid-Atlantic Summer Conference, the North Carolina and South Carolina Chapters of Professional Women in Pest Management turned up the volume for a great cause with their Melodies that Matter FUNdraiser.

Held on Aug. 1, the event invited attendees to grab the mic and showcase their karaoke skills, all in the name of giving back. The evening offered some very spirited and unforgettable performances. Together, participants raised an incredible $6,937.65 in support of the Safe House Project.

Founded in 2017, Safe House Project emerged from a passionate desire to see an end to child trafficking. Inspired by the historic symbol of safe havens during the Underground Railroad, the organization continues this legacy by creating modern-day safe homes where survivors can find refuge and begin their journey to recovery. They’ve launched safe houses across the U.S. and provided over 227,760 safe nights for survivors each year.
