Hundreds of pest management professionals expected at NCPMA’s largest conference

The North Carolina Pest Management Association kicked off the 72nd Annual Pest Control Technician’s (PCT) School at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Conference Center in Durham on Jan. 25. The event attracted approximately 750 pest management professionals, making it the largest state-operated pest management conference in the country.

“For more than 70 years, we have been gathering annually for some of the best pest management training in the country. This year we are especially grateful to be together in person to enjoy this event as an industry and as an association,” said Marty Roberts, NCPMA President. “As the pest management industry association for our state, we look forward to making this the best year ever at PCT and making it a memorable one for our members.”

The opening session for the 2022 event was held on Jan. 25 and began with a keynote speech from N.C. Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson, presentations of NCPMA’s Technician of the Year and Administrative Professional of the Year awards and the awarding of a scholarship to a North Carolina State University entomology student.

The 2022 PCT School offers four days of pest management continuing education, hands-on training courses and more featuring nationally known speakers. It started Jan. 24 and continues through Jan. 27.
