Looking Ahead: Engaging our Members for NCPMA’s Next Chapter
Guest Column by Marie Horner, 2022-2023 NCPMA President
A lot has changed since I joined the pest management industry in 1987, but one thing has always been constant throughout my career, NCPMA.
NCPMA has always been a strong voice for our industry, a leader in educational training opportunities and an invaluable place to make connections with colleagues. And, it’s an honor to now be a part of the history of NCPMA by serving as the association’s president for the next year.
On July 21, I stood alongside some of the best colleagues in the business as we were sworn in to lead the North Carolina Pest Management Association. We were humbled to be a part of the more than 70 years of history of this association and to be able to carry that legacy into the next generation.
We are excited to get started on this next year, but the truth is, we’ve already been working together for months. We’ve been planning and preparing for the year ahead, and we’re ready.
Throughout the year, you’ll see programs to better engage our members and chances for our members to become more involved in our committees.
Our association wouldn’t run without the work of our valuable committees which are all run by volunteers. I urge each of our members to find a committee that fits with your interest and become involved today. You can find a list of our committees on our website.
Not sure where to start? That’s okay. We can help you find a place that works best for you. Just email ncinfo@pestworld.org, and a member of the board of directors will reach out to you.
I’m so excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to work together with each of you.
