The pest management industry is comprised of men and women from all backgrounds, education levels and interests. We think the best way to find out more about our industry is to hear from the people who experience it every day.

Below are some testimonials from North Carolinians who work in pest management.

Scott Seegars

Scott Seegars has worked for Carolina Pest Management in Monroe for eight years. As a sales representative, he sells pest management and termite solutions to clients as well as providing moisture control services.

A former corporal with the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers and a route supervisor for Coca-Cola, Seegars never thought he would work as a pest management professional.  “It was an accident! I’d just parted ways with my former employer and was on my way home when I saw the sign for Carolina Pest Management. I went in and filled out an application and…I’m still here. I guess I grew into wanting to be in the pest management profession.”

Seegars enjoys his job as a pest management professional because it allows him to provide solutions to his clients’ pest problems. “I especially like it when we can perform service on historic structures or help out someone who may not have been able to afford another company. We try to help people wherever we can as far as making the service affordable with a payment plan or a different approach to their particular problem.”

Kay Boggs

While looking for a job nearly 20 years ago, Kay Boggs decided to put her interest in bugs and insects to good use and became a pest technician with Terminix.

Since then, Boggs has worked her way up the ladder as a pest technician, pest supervisor and assistant manager.  Now as a manager, Boggs is responsible for sales and service with Terminix.  She holds a pest wood license and real estate broker license.

After so many years in the industry, her interest in pest management goes beyond just her interest in bugs.  “The pest management industry is a great business to be in.  We are constantly learning and growing.  Pest management is truly a people business.  You really need to have a desire to help people in many different ways from ridding their home of pests to protecting their home against termite.  It’s never boring!!”
